The Brownwood Municipal Development District approved the PAVE Program and a revamped Building Improvement Incentive program to help downtown property owners and businesses prepare for construction planned for Fisk and Baker Avenues.

Brown County commissioners approved asbestos surveys, architectural planning and the next construction-management step for remodeling projects involving the Treasury, Elections and Tax Assessor-Collector departments. The court also approved the proposed 2026/2027 tax rate, a September budget hearing, a patrol vehicle purchase and continued the countywide burn ban.
