A proposed carport at 2410 Vincent Street will go before the Brownwood Zoning Board of Adjustment on Tuesday, Sept. 8, when the board considers a request to reduce the required side-yard setback.
The regular meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Brownwood City Hall, 501 Center Avenue. The agenda identifies the matter as public hearing VAR 20-26.
Variance request
The property owner is requesting a variance for a carport that would extend 6 feet into the required 6-foot side-yard setback. The agenda also states that gutters will be added.
After the public hearing, the board may take action on the request. The meeting agenda also includes a call to order, items to be withdrawn, approval of the minutes from the Aug. 11, 2026, regular meeting and adjournment.
