A Brownwood native has turned a lovable white rabbit into the central character of a growing children’s book collection. Independent author Alexandria M. Gomez recently published four books featuring Mr. Rabbit, whose adventures are designed to encourage young readers to explore friendship, kindness, patience, love and imagination.
Gomez shared the news with BrownwoodNews.com. Her newest release, Mr. Rabbit Is Kind, was published October 30, 2026. The book is aimed at children ages 5–9 and focuses on kindness through simple, everyday actions.
A growing collection for young readers
The four new books are part of an eight-book collection Gomez is developing primarily for children ages 5–9. Across the series, Mr. Rabbit is presented as a lovable white rabbit whose adventures offer families stories that combine entertainment with lessons about how people treat one another.
Gomez said the newest story draws inspiration from the biblical message in 1 Corinthians 13:4: Love is patient, love is kind. That message serves as the foundation for the book’s emphasis on kindness and patience.
Author hopes to reach Brownwood families
Gomez said her work as a mother influenced the series. She wanted to create stories children could enjoy while also learning meaningful lessons about their relationships with others. Her broader goal is to develop Mr. Rabbit into a recognizable children’s character whose adventures families can enjoy together.
The books are independently published through Amazon. Gomez also said she would welcome an opportunity to share her work with the Brownwood community, connecting the locally rooted author and her children’s series with families in the area.
