Saturday’s bracket play is set for the Heart of Texas volleyball tournament in Brownwood, where teams will move into gold- and silver-bracket competition after two days of pool play at Brownwood High School.

Brownwood will compete in the gold bracket at Warren Gym. The Lady Lions are scheduled to play at noon against the winner of the 10 a.m. Coleman-Ballinger match. That game is the fourth contest of the gold-bracket schedule.

Gold bracket schedule at Warren Gym

  1. 9 a.m.: Bangs vs. Fort Worth Covenant
  2. 10 a.m.: Coleman vs. Ballinger
  3. 11 a.m.: Early vs. Game 1 winner
  4. Noon: Brownwood vs. Game 2 winner
  5. 1 p.m.: Game 1 loser vs. Game 2 loser in the consolation game
  6. 2 p.m.: Game 3 loser vs. Game 4 loser for third place
  7. 3 p.m.: Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 winner in the championship

Silver bracket at the Auxiliary Gym

Brownwood JV will open the silver-bracket slate at 10 a.m. against Abilene TLCA. That bracket begins with Richland Springs facing Snyder at 9 a.m., followed by the Brownwood JV match.

The remaining silver-bracket games are scheduled to determine consolation, third place and championship finishes. Abilene Cooper JV will play the winner of the opening game at 11 a.m., while Brady will face the winner of the Brownwood JV-Abilene TLCA match at noon.

  • 1 p.m.: Game 1 loser vs. Game 2 loser, consolation
  • 2 p.m.: Game 3 loser vs. Game 4 loser, third place
  • 3 p.m.: Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 winner, championship
