AccelHealth has added Scarlett Diaz, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, to its provider staff at the Brownwood clinic, bringing an experienced, bilingual family nurse practitioner back to her hometown area.

Diaz officially joined the team at the clinic, located at 2100 Crockett Drive, according to an announcement published Aug. 19, 2026. She has more than 16 years of comprehensive primary-care experience, including more than a decade providing patient-focused care through clinical work with Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood.

Experience rooted in Brownwood

Diaz completed her foundational nursing education at Tarleton State University before earning a Master of Science in Nursing. She completed a Post-Masters Certificate in 2009 and holds national certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program.

AccelHealth CEO Esther Taylor said Diaz’s rural-health background and personal connection to the community support the organization’s focus on expanding affordable healthcare access across the region.

“Scarlett’s extensive 16-year background in rural health, combined with her deep personal ties to the Brownwood community, aligns perfectly with our mission.”

Diaz is also active in the community. Her interests include gardening, crafting with her Cricut, spending time with family and volunteering with her local church.
