Brownwood residents should plan for holiday closures and a temporary change to curbside trash collection during Labor Day week. Brownwood City Hall, the Landfill and Recycling Center, and other non-emergency city facilities will be closed Monday, September 7.
Regular operating hours for all non-emergency facilities will resume Tuesday, September 8. Residents who need city services during the closure should first determine whether their issue is an emergency, because emergency assistance remains available for certain utility problems.
Adjusted Brownwood trash schedule
The city’s curbside collection schedule will change for the first part of the week. Monday routes will be collected Tuesday, September 8, while Tuesday routes will be collected Wednesday, September 9.
Thursday and Friday routes will continue on their regular schedule. To help ensure pickup, residents should place their carts at the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day.
