Four felony cases heard in the 35th District Court resulted in prison sentences of 25, 12 and two years, according to a press release issued by the office of District Attorney Micheal Murray.
The cases were heard by Judge Mike Smith. The Brownwood News report was published Aug. 26, 2026, at 3:20 p.m., and identified the proceedings as local crime news involving felony cases.
Sentences in controlled-substance cases
Christina Maebeth Donham pleaded guilty to felony possession of a controlled substance and received a 25-year sentence in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Donham also was on probation for felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. That case was adjudicated, and she received another 25-year sentence in the Institutional Division under a plea agreement.
Grant Jay Bear pleaded guilty to felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He was sentenced to 12 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division, also pursuant to a plea agreement.
Probation violation case
Shianna Brook Schultz was on probation for felony tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. Her case was adjudicated, and she was sentenced to two years in the Institutional Division.
