Brown County residents have a new way to receive emergency information. The Brown County Office of Emergency Management has launched its official Facebook page at facebook.com/BrownCountyTXOEM, creating a dedicated source for public-safety updates and emergency preparedness communications.
The page is intended to provide timely information before, during and after emergencies affecting Brown County, including real-time updates, critical alerts, weather-related information, road closures, disaster-response activities and preparedness tips.
How residents can stay informed
The Brown County Office of Emergency Management is asking residents, businesses and community organizations to follow the page and share it with family, friends and neighbors. The agency said the additional communication channel is designed to help families and communities remain informed and safe during emergencies.
Officials are also strongly encouraging residents to sign up for Brown County Alert, the county’s emergency notification system. Subscribers can receive critical emergency information through text messages, phone calls and email notifications.
