Brown County 4-H enrollment is now open for the new 4-H year, giving families an opportunity to begin registering through the organization’s newly launched online system. The Brown County Extension Office is reminding parents and guardians that payment is only one part of the process.

After submitting payment, families must return to the enrollment dashboard and check each 4-H member’s profile. A small yellow notification will appear under the profile when additional action is required. That notice indicates that the member must select a project before the profile can be submitted for review.

What families need to do

To finish enrollment, families should click the yellow notification under the member’s profile and select the 4-H projects in which the member is interested. The system allows each member to choose up to 10 projects.

For every selected project, the family must also choose “Program Participant.” Once the projects have been selected, the profile can be submitted for review. The Brown County Extension Office will then be able to access the enrollment and approve it.

  • Return to the dashboard after submitting payment.
  • Open the yellow notification under each member’s profile.
  • Select the member’s desired 4-H projects, with up to 10 choices allowed.
  • Choose “Program Participant” for each project.
  • Submit the completed profile for review.

Important date for incoming third graders

Families with children entering third grade should not complete enrollment before September 1. The enrollment system will categorize an incoming third grader as a Clover Kid if the child is enrolled before that date.

That means families should wait until September 1 to register incoming third graders so the system places them in the appropriate category. The reminder is especially important for parents completing enrollment as soon as the new system becomes available.
