Hendrick Health has welcomed Stephanie Sobotie, MD, to its primary-care team in Brownwood, expanding services available through Hendrick Rural Health Clinic Primary Care, a department of Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood.
Sobotie has cared for patients since 2010 and brings experience in family medicine and obstetrics. Before moving to Brownwood, she treated patients in Ghana and Canada.
“I fell in love with Brownwood during my first visit, and I look forward to providing care for patients from birth to geriatrics,” said Dr. Sobotie.
Services available to Brownwood patients
As a family medicine and obstetrics physician, Sobotie provides care for acute and chronic medical conditions, along with pregnancy and childbirth services. Her clinical care also includes injuries, lacerations, sprains and gynecological needs.
The physician offers school and sports physicals as well as well-child exams, giving families access to both routine and condition-specific care through the Brownwood clinic.
Training and appointments
Sobotie completed her medical education at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. She also has additional training in family medicine, obstetrics and addiction care.
