Residents and professionals interested in developing leadership skills in Brownwood and Brown County can now register for the 2026–27 Leadership Brownwood class. Registration will remain open through August 31, 2026, unless the class reaches capacity sooner.
The program is designed to bring members of the community together while providing participants with a broader understanding of local business and government. Organizers describe it as an opportunity to strengthen leadership skills and learn more about the organizations and institutions that shape Brown County.
Program schedule and cost
The kickoff session is scheduled for September 10, 2026. After that opening meeting, sessions are planned for the second Thursday of each month. Each session is expected to run from approximately 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., making the program a substantial daytime commitment for participants.
The annual registration fee is $595. That cost includes a Leadership Brownwood shirt and meals for each session.

People who want to participate are encouraged to submit their registration before the deadline because enrollment may close once all spots are filled. The registration notice directs prospective participants to the Leadership Brownwood registration link to apply.
