Jimmy Doyle Wiley, 49, whose life took him from Odessa and Brady to Brownwood, has died, according to an obituary published by KOXE. A celebration of life is planned for a later date, while Brownwood Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
A life connected to Brownwood and Brady
Wiley was born June 9, 1977, to Vickie Gilbreath Wiley Thomas and James “Buddy” Doyle Wiley in Odessa, Texas. He grew up in Brady and graduated from Brady High School in 1995. After briefly returning to Odessa, he eventually settled in Brownwood.
His family described a broad circle of loved ones across the region. Wiley is survived by his children, Jace, Austin, Brailey and Jimmy Jr.; his grandchildren, Maizy and Huxley of Brownwood and David of Abilene; his mother, Vickie Thomas of Brownwood; and his brothers, Paul and Jake.

Wiley was preceded in death by his father, James “Bud” Wiley, and his brother, Brian Thomas. The obituary did not provide a date, time or location for the planned celebration of life. Those details are expected to be announced later.
