The Early Lady Horns volleyball team remains undefeated after adding two victories Thursday at the Dublin tournament, extending its winning streak to 15 matches. Early swept Keene in two sets, 25-16 and 25-17, before taking consecutive sets from Santo, 25-21 and 25-14.
The results moved the Lady Horns to 15-0 on the season. Early is scheduled to resume action in the Dublin tournament on Saturday.
Early controls both matches
Against Keene, Ella DeVeillier led Early with 13 kills, followed by Aubrie DeVillier with 10 and Grey Pruett with seven. Ellie Shea recorded two kills, while Jaime Lyon, Kailyn Gallardo, Racy Pruett and Pearl Sharp each added one.
Sunny Groom finished with 14 assists, and Grey Pruett contributed 12. Aubrie DeVillier served two aces, while Gallardo and Racy Pruett each served one.
Early also produced a strong defensive effort in the Keene match. Aubrie DeVillier recorded 14 digs, Groom and Hallie Thornberry had 13 apiece, and Gallardo added 11. Lyon finished with eight digs, Grey Pruett had five, Racy Pruett and Ella DeVillier had four each, and Shea recorded three. At the net, Grey Pruett collected three blocks and Shea added two.
Lady Horns finish strong against Santo
Aubrie DeVillier paced Early's attack against Santo with 11 kills. Ella DeVillier added six, while Shea, Racy Pruett and Grey Pruett each had three. Groom recorded one kill.
Grey Pruett led the team with 13 assists in the Santo match, followed by Groom with 10. Aubrie DeVillier was credited with one assist.
Racy Pruett delivered four of Early's five aces, with the remaining ace served by Aubrie DeVillier. Lyon led the defensive statistics with 20 digs. Aubrie DeVillier had 13, Racy Pruett eight, Groom seven, and Grey Pruett and Gallardo five each.
Ella DeVillier and Grey Pruett each collected two blocks against Santo, while Aubrie DeVillier contributed one. With the two wins secured, Early will continue its Dublin tournament schedule Saturday while protecting its unbeaten record.
