Four Brownwood property requests will go before the City of Brownwood Zoning Board of Adjustment during a public hearing scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026.
The hearing will take place in the City Hall Council Chambers at 501 Center Ave. The board may take action on the requests after hearing the matters.
Requests on the agenda
The cases involve proposed structures that would extend into required setbacks:
- 3505 4th Street: A request for a carport to extend 15 feet into the 15-foot side-street setback requirement.
- 2909 Coggin Avenue: A request for an awning to extend 25 feet into the 25-foot side-street setback and 25 feet into the 25-foot front-yard setback.
- 4311 Brookdale Drive: A request for a carport to extend 25 feet into the 25-foot front-yard setback and 6 feet into the 6-foot side-yard setback.
- 800 Melwood Avenue: A request for a patio awning to extend 20 feet into the 25-foot front-yard setback.
