Small business owners and people considering starting a business are invited to a collaborative breakfast in Brownwood on Oct. 8, according to information shared by the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce.

The event is designed as a morning of breakfast and conversation for people who help support the local business community. Attendees will have an opportunity to connect with other businesses, exchange advice and discuss the challenges they face.

Who is invited

The invitation is open to current small business owners as well as people who are “dreaming of becoming” business owners. Breakfast will be provided, and the Chamber said anyone is welcome to attend.

The Chamber highlighted the role of small businesses in Brown County, stating that almost 96% of businesses in the county employ fewer than 50 people. That figure was cited as evidence of the large number of small businesses contributing to the community.

Sponsorship and registration

Balancing Act Small Business Services is sponsoring the breakfast. People interested in attending are asked to register through the event’s registration link.

Businesses or individuals who want to donate items or help sponsor the breakfast can contact Wendy Lawson, executive director of the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce, at [email protected] or 325-646-9535.

The Chamber shared the announcement on Oct. 5, 2026. The supplied notice does not provide a meeting time or venue.
