A sporting clays tournament benefiting the Early FFA is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Brownwood Claybird Club. The event will combine a day of shooting with dinner, live entertainment and fundraising activities.
Registration and practice are set to begin at 11 a.m., followed by shooting at 1 p.m. Up in Smoke BBQ will serve dinner at 5 p.m. Organizers also plan to offer a cash bar and live music by Case Hardin.
Prizes and auction activities
Competitors will have the opportunity to win cash prizes and buckles. The listed awards are $1,000 for first place, $750 for second place and $500 for third place.
The fundraiser will also include a gun auction and a silent auction, adding additional activities for participants and guests after the tournament gets underway.
Tickets and registration information
Tickets cost $250 and include dinner for two and participation by one shooter. Tickets can be purchased through the Early ISD website under the athletics tickets tab.
